UAE – DOCUMENT ATTESTATION SERVICES 

Gerry’s proudly announces the launch of document handling services for Attestation of Documents from the United Arab Emirates Consulate & Embassy w-e-f February 27, 2017. Documents of applicants from Sindh and Baluchistan provinces will be dealt by the Consulate General of United Arab Emirates, Karachi and Documents from KPK, Punjab, and Islamabad will be dealt by the United Arab Emirates Embassy. The documents can be submitted at Gerry's following offices:

APPLICATION PROCESS:

Applications for the Consulate of UAE can be submitted and collected from Gerry's offices personally or through blood-related authorized relatives only. Foreign degrees, B. Form, FRC and Medical fitness certificates cannot be accepted for attestation Applicants do not require any appointments to submit their applications. 
The fee will be accepted only in PKR.Sufficient space should be there on documents & in case of hard lamination, ample space should be arranged by the applicant on documents for attestation. 
All the documents must be attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

PROCESSING TIME: 

The processing time for attestation of documents is 4 to 5 working days and could vary depending on the procedures at the Embassy and/or Consulate. 

PREREQUISITES FOR ATTESTATION OF DOCUMENTS

Before applying, please ensure to complete all requirements set by the Embassy and/or Consulate for document attestation. Following are the details:

UAE ATTESTATION:

special Notes of General information for all applicants who want to get attestation from U.A.E Consulate Karachi 
U.A.E Submission should be personally Or only blood relative can submit with documentary proof of relationship with both C.N.I.C.copies & with marriage certificate copy etc. & the person who is submitting the case will come with original CNIC. 
In all Power of attorney cases, personal appearance is a must. In such cases, even Blood relative cannot submit these cases. Only Sindh and Baluchistan related documents can be accepted for attestation: Foreign Degrees, B.Form, FRC & Medical Fitness Certificate cannot be accepted for attestation. 

UAE Consulate’s Fee is in AED Currency, All Fee will be received in Pak Rupees with conversation rate is Rs: 30 which may change due to the fluctuation of currency rate. 150 AED for Normal  Documents & 2350 AED for Business documents with UAE Bank charges 6.63 AED. But conversion rate 29.20 which may change due to Fluctuation of Currency Rate with Gerry’s charges Rs.290.

Passport / CNIC copy of applicant is a must requirement in all certificates & educational documents. Sufficient space should be there on documents & in case of hard lamination ample space should be arranged by the applicant on documents & Document should not be Glossary for attestation. All the documents must be attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Government of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and from the concerned authorities mentioned below.

Power of attorney should be presented along with Death Certificate the executants(s)has to be present in person to sign power of attorney or it should be registered with concerned Sub- Registrar of Revenue department. 30 F.I.R. for lost of Passport Original F.I.R & English translation with mentioned passport number and both original and translation should be attested from the Police station and from Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Translation should be attested from Notary public And with copies Of CNIC and passport/visa AED 150 + Bank Charges 290

DOCUMENT ATTESTATION SERVICES:

In order to facilitate the general public, Gerry's VDB has been authorized by Ministry of Foreign Affairs to receive documents for attestation (except Power of Attorney) from Ministry of Foreign Affairs and all its Camp Offices located at four provincial headquarters.

Gerry’s provides convenient and hassle-free document handling services for applicants seeking attestation of their documents hence avoiding long queues at the Ministry premises.

ATTESTATION PROCEDURE

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs verifies the signatures of concerned attesting authorities. These documents include:

  • Documents issued by various authorities of central, provincial and local government which are intended to be used abroad or submitted in Foreign Missions in Pakistan;
  • Documents verified/attested by our Foreign Missions which are intended to be presented in Pakistan

Who can present documents for MOFA attestation?

  • The applicant himself or his family member with authority letter;
  • The person presenting the documents on behalf of his relative is required to show his/her original ID card/Passport/Driving License/University Card/School Card/Domicile/Office Card or any of his valid ID.
  • If no family member of the applicant is residing in Pakistan, the applicant is required to produce an authority letter duly signed by Pakistan High Commission abroad to the authorized person to be bought at the counter along with other related documents.

What documents are attested by MOFA?

  • The Ministry only attests documents in Urdu and English versions. Document or its translation in any other language other than English is not attested.
  • Documents once attested, will remain valid forever and hence will not be re-attested.
  • Attestation made by the Camp Offices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at Lahore, Quetta, Peshawar, Karachi has the same weight and authenticity as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Islamabad and hence, will not be re-attested.
  • Photocopy or translation of any document will be attested when an original document is presented or it is attested by a gazetted officer of BPS-17 or above.

Documents Not Acceptable for attestation:

Following documents in original as well as the copies of these documents are not attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as these do not fall under the purview of the Ministry:

  • Passports
  • Domicile
  • ID card
  • Documents related to immovable property (i.e. Registries of the plots and agriculture land etc)

Documents Not Acceptable for attestation:

  • Document arrangement
  • Document to be attested (with procedural requirement/pre-requisite completed as per attached list)
  • CNIC copy of the applicant
  • Authority letter from the applicant in the name of a representative
  • One copy set of above documents

9 ID card Cancellation Form (Urdu) Issued by NADRA or District Registration Officer.
10  Driving License Original Driving License has to be presented at the counter along with NOC issued by concerned License Issuing Authority. Only original NOC is attested. Copy of CARD driving license is also attested.
11 School Leaving Certificate (Urdu) School leaving certificate of Class I-IX countersigned by District Education Officer and Class X attested by Inter Board Committee of Chairman (IBCC).
12  Secondary School Certificate Attested by IBCC
13 Higher Secondary School Certificate  Attested by IBCC
14 Diploma of One-year duration and short courses  These certificates first have to be attested by National Training Bureau (NTB).
15 Bachelors and Master’s Degree Attested by Higher Education Commission (HEC).
16  Degrees/Diploma Certificates relating to Medical professionals PMDC Reg., etc. Experience certificates   All the documents have first to be attested by the Ministry of National Regulations and Services. The MBBS degree has to be attested by HEC.
17 Diploma of Paramedical professionals, Nursing Diplomas etc. Experience Certificates) All Nursing related documents first have to be attested by the Ministry of National Regulations and Services.
18 Succession and Guardianship Certificate Issued by the Civil Judge of the Civil Court.
19 Special Power of Attorney from Pakistan to person Abroad  Power of Attorney should be presented along with Succession Certificate and Guardianship Certificate. To get the attestation the executant(s) has to be present in person to sign the Power of Attorney or it should be registered with concerned Sub-Registrar of the Revenue Department.
20  Power of Attorney from Abroad to a person in Pakistan The person authorized in Pakistan has to appear in person with original ID card to get the Power of Attorney attested from MOFA.
21  Documents relating to commerce/trade  Attested by the concerned Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
22 English translation of all above-mentioned documents Translation from the approved translation house by the concerned Embassy/Department will be accepted.

 

Higher Education Commission:

Attestation of Educational Documents (Bachelors and above levels) from HEC:

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs verifies the signatures of concerned attesting authorities. These documents include:

  • Attestation and Handling Charges
  • Gerry’s International offers handling services for attestation of documents (Bachelors and above levels) from Higher Education Commission of Pakistan (HEC) for applicants living abroad.
  • Applicants can avail this service by sending the documents through any courier or Postal services to Gerry’s International at following address:

Following is the procedure and requirements for attestation of documents from HEC for applicants within Pakistan and abroad:

  • Register your application online at “Register Online” and take print out of the same
  • Attach completely filled in and signed the application form
  • Deposit Fee in the designated bank account. For Fee payment details, click here.
  • Attach original Matriculation and Intermediate level certificates (or equivalence certificates e-g A/O level)
  • Attach original Transcripts and Degrees for all levels attended from Bachelors till final qualification
  • Photocopies of certificates and degrees from Matriculation till the final level attended
  • Attach equivalence of HEC in case of Bachelors or above degree from abroad
  • Copy of National I.D. Card/passport of the applicant
  • In case a degree has not been issued and the applicant wants to have only the Transcript attested, a verification letter from the Controller of Examination of the concerned University (This would be applicable to the students who passed their degree/program during the last 3 years)
  • For attestation of Degrees, provision of Transcript/Mark sheets is mandatory

  • Important Notes:
  • Original Degrees/Transcripts are attested prior to the attestation of photocopies.
  • Fake degrees and/or higher degrees obtained on the basis of fake degrees/certificate are confiscated by HEC.
  • Gerry’s office will not take any responsibility for delays in attestation, loss or damages to the documents.
  • Gerry’s office will not entertain incomplete applications

DOCUMENT ATTESTATION SERVICES:

In order to facilitate the general public, Gerry's VDB has been authorized by Ministry of Foreign Affairs to receive documents for attestation (except Power of Attorney) from Ministry of Foreign Affairs and all its Camp Offices located at four provincial headquarters. Gerry’s provides convenient and hassle-free document handling services for applicants seeking attestation of their documents hence avoiding long queues at the Ministry premises.

ATTESTATION PROCEDURE:

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs verifies the signatures of concerned attesting authorities. These documents include:
  • Documents issued by various authorities of central, provincial and local government which are intended to be used abroad or submitted in Foreign Missions in Pakistan;
  • Documents verified/attested by our Foreign Missions which are intended to be presented in Pakistan

 Who can present documents for MOFA attestation?

  • The applicant himself or his family member with authority letter;
  • The person presenting the documents on behalf of his relative is required to show his/her original ID card/Passport/Driving License/University Card/School Card/Domicile/Office Card or any of his valid ID.
  • If no family member of the applicant is residing in Pakistan, the applicant is required to produce an authority letter duly signed by Pakistan High Commission abroad to the authorized person to be bought at the counter along with other related documents.

 What documents are attested by MOFA?

  • The Ministry only attests documents in Urdu and English versions. Document or its translation in any other language other than English is not attested.
  • Documents once attested, will remain valid forever and hence will not be re-attested.
  • Attestation made by the Camp Offices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at Lahore, Quetta, Peshawar, Karachi has the same weight and authenticity as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Islamabad and hence, will not be re-attested.
  • Photocopy or translation of any document will be attested when an original document is presented or it is attested by a gazetted officer of BPS-17 or above.

 Documents Not Acceptable for attestation

Following documents in original as well as the copies of these documents are not attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as these do not fall under the purview of the Ministry:

  • Passports
  • Domicile
  • ID card
  • Documents related to immovable property (i.e. Registries of the plots and agriculture land etc)

8 Unmarried Certificate Affidavit Union Council Certificate The affidavit from Parents and an unmarried certificate from Secretary/Nazim Union Council should be attached with the affidavit.
9 ID card Cancellation Form (Urdu) Issued by NADRA or District Registration Officer.
10 Driving License Original Driving License has to be presented at the counter along with NOC issued by concerned License Issuing Authority. Only original NOC is attested. Copy of CARD driving license is also attested.
11 School Leaving Certificate (Urdu) School leaving certificate of Class I-IX countersigned by District Education Officer and Class X attested by Inter Board Committee of Chairman (IBCC).

14 Diploma of One-year duration and short courses These certificates first have to be attested by National Training Bureau (NTB).
15 Bachelors and Master’s Degree Attested by Higher Education Commission (HEC).
16 Degrees/Diploma Certificates relating to Medical professionals PMDC Reg., etc. Experience Certificates ll the documents have first to be attested by the Ministry of National Regulations and Services. The MBBS degree has to be attested by HEC.
17 Diploma of Paramedical professionals, Nursing Diplomas etc. Experience Certificates)   All Nursing related documents first have to be attested by the Ministry of National Regulations and Services.
18 Succession and Guardianship Certificate Issued by the Civil Judge of the Civil Court.
19 Special Power of Attorney from Pakistan to person abroad Power of Attorney should be presented along with Succession Certificate and Guardianship Certificate. To get the attestation the executant(s) has to be present in person to sign the Power of Attorney or it should be registered with concerned Sub-Registrar of the Revenue Department.
20 Power of Attorney from Abroad to a person in Pakistan The person authorized in Pakistan has to appear in person with original ID card to get the Power of Attorney attested from MOFA.
21 Documents relating to commerce/trade Attested by the concerned Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
22 English translation of all above-mentioned documents Translation from the approved translation house by the concerned Embassy/Department will be accepted.

Following is the procedure and requirements for attestation of documents from HEC for applicants within Pakistan and abroad:

  • Register your application online at “Register Online” and take print out of the same
  • Attach completely filled in and signed the application form
  • Deposit Fee in the designated bank account. For Fee payment details, click here.
  • Attach original Matriculation and Intermediate level certificates (or equivalence certificates e-g A/O level)
  • Attach original Transcripts and Degrees for all levels attended from Bachelors till final qualification
  • Photocopies of certificates and degrees from Matriculation till the final level attended
  • Attach equivalence of HEC in case of Bachelors or above degree from abroad
  • Copy of National I.D. Card/passport of the applicant
  • In case a degree has not been issued and the applicant wants to have only the Transcript attested, a verification letter from the Controller of Examination of the concerned University (This would be applicable to the students who passed their degree/program during the last 3 years)
  • For attestation of Degrees, provision of Transcript/Mark sheets is mandatory

  • Fake degrees and/or higher degrees obtained on the basis of fake degrees/certificate are confiscated by HEC.
